\\THE BAND// Clint and Luke formed The High Violets from the ashes of a successful band called the Bella Low, which also featured Jsun Adams of the Upsidedown. The Bella Low toured and played support to psych bands like The Dandy Warhols, Swoon 23, Rick Bain & the Genius Position, Heatmiser, and Sugar Boom and attracted some major record label attention. It was eventually a drug problem with one of the members that forced the band to call it a day, but the band definitely lives on in the memories of the local Portland music scene. Later, Clint met Kaitlyn in a bar he used to spend time in while complaining over a beer how hard it was to find a singer. Kaitlyn, having a successful solo career of her own, stepped up and offered her services. Clint had written the song, “Wheel” to get the band started. He and Luke convinced bassist friend Alan Davis to join in and in 1999 they self-released an EP, "Dream Away." Their debut album, “44 Down” was released in 2002. Shortly thereafter Clint and Kaitlyn found themselves challenged by a heavy dose of line-up changes. After weathering the storm, they were rejoined by Luke and returned to form to record, “To Where You Are in 2006.” Another lineup change later that year brought the most recent addition to the High Violets, Colin Sheridan. In 2007, the band released "Satellite Remixes" so named because remixes from both "44 Down" and "To Where You Are" were created by a wide variety of Producers and DJs from across the globe. The Band is currently working on a new album due out late Spring/early Summer 2008. \\THE MEMBERS//
